they just crave the publicity don't they, now what happens? someone dies. RIP who ever he is, its stupid, just stupid, a life lost for the greed that is in people!
They seriously think those fragile looking doors are gonna withstand the force of 2000+ person stampee into the store? whatever happen to public safety in a building that is visited by thousands of customers daily?

You're blaming the store for idiots breaking down a door and trampling someone to death..?

The impatient crowd knocked the employee, identified by police as Jdimytai Damour, to the ground as he opened the doors, leaving a metal portion of the frame crumpled like an accordion.

Dozens of store employees trying to fight their way out to help Damour were also getting trampled by the crowd, Fleming said. Shoppers stepped over the man on the ground and streamed into the store.

When they were saying they had to leave, that an employee got killed, people were yelling 'I've been on line since yesterday morning,'" she said. "They kept shopping.

Seriously, what the RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO?
Are people completely retarded these days or what?

Hate to say it folks but that's not the only case of mindless violence in America's shopping centers.

To sum up this news post, two grown men shoot each other in front of a Toy's R Us over a child's toy. I've also heard about a case over out in long island where one man was trampled along with a pregnant woman. I can't find a news article on it atm but it's sounding more and more like a grim holiday season this year.

Well everyone is poor now (well not everyone but you get the point).
In desperation.....you screw people over.
It's not that people are idiots (in this case....though people are idiots)
More like they are insensitive, and oblivious to what is going on around them, when they crave something.

Wal-Mart has automatic doors but you still have to lock and unlock them. They don't just magically lock and unlock themselves. You have to do it manually with a key.

Yes, Earth then idiot people would be trampled instead of the innocent ones.
Yes, Arkantos, I would! hehehe They knew how the situation would be and not taking the necessary precautions make it their fault.
tomorrow you would see new signs up infront of Walmart reading: if you get trampled while shopping, it is not our business to care lol. It is our business to get your money! Happy shopping!

something like this
the automatic door stays, just installed another one that you open with a button standing far away from the door. then the overnight clerk open the inside doors the go far away to push the red button.
on second thought i think some kind of electric lazer tazer barrier would do better in situation like this, with a warning sign that says: Cross and Die!
